ARTICLE I: DUES Dues will be solicited from PTOs on an annual basis to further the mission of the Parent Council and to support it’s efforts to promote quality education within Albemarle County. ARTICLE II: OFFICERS President The President shall preside at all meetings of the Council and shall perform other duties as pertain to his or her office. He or she shall appoint all committees, standing or special, authorized by the Council. Executive Committee The officers of the Executive Committee shall work in support of the Parent Council and the President in conducting business of the Council between meetings and make recommendations regarding the business and operations of the Council. ARTICLE III: COMMITTEES The Council may appoint committees as necessary to focus on specific initiatives. The leadership, purpose, and scope of those committees will be determined by the Executive Committee consistent with the discussions of the Council. The President and Superintendent of Schools will be Ex Officio members of committees as necessary for the business of such committees. ARTICLE IV: MEETINGS Monthly meetings will be held during the normal school year (September through May).
