To Albemarle County Schools Parents:
  • Are you interested in how our schools prepare students to be college-, work-, and life-ready?
  • How workforce needs have evolved?
  • How technology is changing employer expectations?
  • What a Business / Education Partnership might involve?
On April 19th Superintendent Pam Moran and County Executive Tom Foley opened a discussion which included the Board of Supervisors, the School Board,  Sen. Creigh Deeds, Del. David Toscano, and many community leaders in a roundtable discussion of Business Support for Education / Education Support for Business.

Documentation from that meeting is attached:
  • Discussion Summary (including questions asked of the participants)
  • Exit Slip comments (listing any additional issues to discuss).
  • Participants
As this work-in-progress continues, parent participation is most welcome — from both the education and the business perspectives.

If you are interested in helping to develop business/education partnerships in any way, please contact Mary Huffard Kegley Scott.
